Artwork by Rese is featured in Black Art Magazine and Tumblr's Artist Alley!
I'm moving up in the world, y'all! :p
I've been trying to write this blog post for awhile now, but it just feels so surreal, especially after the hellscape that was 2023 (blog post here if you want to know more about that). It's kinda wild to see little seeds that you planted ages ago start to bloom. I'm grateful. I'm humbled. I'm... full of anxiety about the 'what ifs' and endless possibilities.
I am a work in progress, alright?
Black Art Magazine a.k.a. My first artist interview!
In the spring issue of Black Art Magazine (Volume 3. Issue 1), I talk about my art journey, dealing with depression, my creative process, and what being a Black artist means to me. It's a pretty deep dive.
Click here to subscribe and read it yourself! I'm on page 33.
Black Art Magazine was founded to showcase talented Black artists and serve as a source of information for those in the art industry. Read more about the magazine and its mission here.
It's honestly a really good read. You can tell it was made with a lot of love, care, and passion for not only art but artists as well.
Thank you to everyone at Black Art Magazine for choosing me!
